At Camouflaged Cassowary (“we”, “our”, “us”), we want you to be happy with your purchase and experience.

This policy explains your rights under Australian Consumer Law and how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.

2. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if a product is:

• Faulty or defective

• Not as described

• Not fit for its intended purpose

These rights apply for a reasonable period of time after purchase and cannot be excluded or limited.

We hope you love what you order from us, but please choose carefully before placing your order. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect choice, or personal preference.

We encourage you to carefully review product descriptions, inclusions, and details before purchasing. If you are unsure about a product, please contact us prior to placing your order at support@camouflagedcassowary.com.au and we will be happy to help.

4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

To help us assess the issue, we may request:

• Photographs of the product and packaging

• Order details

• A description of the issue

All claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Where a valid claim is confirmed, we will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Please note that damage caused by misuse, improper handling, or normal wear and tear is not considered a fault.

5. Delivery & Transit Issues

Issues relating to items that are lost, delayed, or damaged in transit are treated as delivery issues and are handled in accordance with our Shipping Policy.

Orders are considered fulfilled once marked as "delivered" by the carrier.

Where a parcel is confirmed as “delivered” by the carrier, any concerns relating to the condition of the item will be assessed under this Returns & Refund Policy.

6. Returns Approval Required

All returns must be approved by us prior to being sent back.

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

7. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for change of mind, including where items have been opened, used, or are no longer wanted.

We also do not accept returns for:

• Items not in their original condition (unless faulty)

• Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling

• Clearance or sale items (unless faulty)

8. Return Conditions (If Approved)

Where a return is approved, items must be:

• Returned in original condition

• Properly packaged to prevent damage in transit

• Sent using a trackable shipping method

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

9. Refunds

Once a return is received and inspected:

• Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method

• Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Disputes & Chargebacks

If you experience an issue with your order, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly and fairly.

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may delay resolution, as the outcome will be handled in accordance with your payment provider’s processes (e.g. PayPal or your card issuer).
